The International Rescue Committee (IRC) help people who are forced to flee conflict and disaster around the world.

Please do not hesitate to contact the IRC by calling 020 3983 9000 or via email contactus@rescue-uk.org if you have any questions about your donation or would like further information about their work. Alternatively, please visit their website:

Read on here, to find out how you can help out little children like Vanessa...

...When a woman called Judith brought her baby Vanessa to the IRC health centre in Kakuma Refugee Camp, Kenya, Vanessa's hair and skin were dry and brittle. She was so malnourished she wasn’t even smiling.

Severely malnourished children’s bodies start to shut down. They lose their appetites and they stop playing, laughing or really interacting at all.

At this stage of illness, regular food isn’t enough. Children like Vanessa need specialised therapeutic food to recover from malnutrition, but right now only about 1 in 5 malnourished children receive the lifesaving treatment they need.

If you can financially afford to donate to the IRC please do, or if you can't afford it, please help out by giving the IRC some of your time to email them or visit their website: Rescue-uk.org. to ask for and find out info you'll need to help you to spread the word about the great work they do to help other humans out in their hour(s) of need - to make them healthy and safe like every human being deserves to be.
