I don’t know about you, but I often tell my friends I’m a Christian who is very spiritual.
I fully understand what being a Christian means because I go to church and I did GCSE: religious studies. Therefore, I believe in God, Jesus and the disciples. Being a good person who doesn’t hurt others means I’ll go to Heaven.
I had to look up in the dictionary what the definition of spirituality is.
It means……
…Spirituality involves the recognition of a feeling or sense or belief that there is something greater than oneself. There is something more to being human than sensory experience, and that the greater whole of which we are a part is cosmic or divine in nature. To have a divine nature is to possess all the attributes that make God who He is.
I think Christianity and spirituality go hand in hand. I think that both ways of believing and being have a nature of that the ‘divine’ is to posses all the attributes that make God who He is. So, the greater being that you believe in when you are spiritual is God. God is a being in control of things and watching all our backs. God is something greater than us. I believe that God created the universe, all of the planets and mankind. Meaning that there is a something spiritual watching over us: God.
