When I went to Thailand as a stop on my world travels in my 20s (lucky git I hear you say – he he!), my favourite thing there was the stunning, very healthy & tasty food that was available in most places I visited. This includes little café type of places on the beach and restaurants often ran by families in the small towns all over Thailand.

When I got back home to the UK I wanted to go to Thai restaurants, but I had no joy in finding any, let alone excellent places I could go for meals with my friends.

While I was in Thailand, I took a few cooking lessons from a wonderful rather old Thai woman who is an angel on Earth, she taught me to make a very good Thai green (and red) curry. This is a lovely treat to have at home, but I don’t know about you, a fab night out with my friends starts off by eating at a lush restaurant.

I’ve found the perfect place in Bristol to go for a stunning, very healthy & tasty Thai meal in Bristol. It’s called JP Destiny THAI CORNER.

It’s perfect because the staff there are very nice people, who are chilled out as well as very efficient, kind & a good laugh - that’s the waitresses. The chefs are 10 out of 10 for how gorgeous the food they cook (make for you) for you is.

It’s difficult to choose what to eat there, because the menu has all the delightful Thai food you’d love to eat. I think it’s all very reasonably priced too.

I’m a pescatarian & sometimes I’m a veggie. Here’s an example of what I usually eat at restaurant: JP Destiny THAI CORNER...

Vegetarian dumplings, vegetable spring rolls, spinach & potato stir fry, fragrant rice & spice mushrooms.

If I feel like treating myself to a tasty fishy dish, I go for:

King prawn, Scallop & squid glass noodle salad, with a chilli dressing £17.00

Yum Yum - I hear you say!

You can take yourself there for a lovely lunch 6 days a week – it’s open Tuesday – Sunday: 12 noon – 11pm, or for a tasty dinner after you’ve possibly had a crap day at work (your job) – and you could do with a healthy way to cheer yourself up.
