To be kind to yourself, have a ‘Me’ day – when you treat yourself to do things that make you feel very happy by:
· Planning ahead to avoid obligations.
· Allowing for guilt free rest.
· Pampering yourself – have a very long bath to feel luxuriously clean & chilled out. Give your feet a massage that they probably deserve to have. This will be you having a spa day at home.
· Engage in hobbies that bring you joy E.G. ‘Me’: dancing to music, cooking myself a big, tasty meal and making come chocolatey treats.
· Snuggle up on the sofa to watch your fav films that always put a smile on your face.
You can really appreciate you being you by:
· Practising self-care; engage in activities that genuinely recharge you.
· Celebrating your strengths; regularly acknowledging your unique talents, qualities & accomplishments. Doing these things will build your confidence & self-appreciation.
Practice self-acceptance & self-compassion by:
· Stopping comparing yourself to others. Your path is unique & focusing on others distracts from your own value.
· Acknowledge your imperfections. We’ve all got a few imperfections but recognising that this is part of being human. You deserve appreciation despite them.
· You using positive self-talk to yourself: E.G. I am enough; just as I am, & I am proud of what I’ve accomplished.
· Forgiving yourself for mistakes. Bouncing back from disappointments & setbacks as opportunities for growth & self-appreciation.
If you long to be something better than you are today, you should ‘Vogue’ – just like Madonna does to feel full of self-confidence.
