Thank goodness Children in Need 2025 raised more than £45 million pounds.
Phew because currently it can only afford to support 1 out if 6 support groups for children who really need support. Let’s hope now it can financially support all 6 places fir children to be for them to be supported.
It was the charities 45th Appeal show. It first started a year before I was born in 1980.
My best friend Rhiannon and I did a baked beans bath for this charity back when we were 10 years old. We filled my bath with baked beans and sat in them for 5 hours. We just sang songs and had a good laugh together. We raised £500.00 doing this funny sponsored thingy. I think people sponsored so much money because they thought we would last long sat in our swimming costumes covered in backed beans for 5 mins. But we really wanted to help kids who were (are) struggling in their life – so we managed to sit in my bath for 5 hours. Go us!

You’ll be helping children who are seriously struggling in their life.
Here are a few things they are having to cope with:
· Being seriously ill. Your money will help to get them practical and emotional support. It’ll help them to spend their precious time they have left with their family (who also get practical & emotional help/support).
· Kids affected by domestic abuse.
· You can pay for kids who care for their younger siblings to have a weekend away where they can: rest, build confidence and be a child again.
Celebrities such as Sara Cox did things to raise money. Sara raised £9, 523,028 by walking 135 miles. Fair play Sara! I think most of us would struggle to walk that far.
The money she raised contributed to Radio 2’s overall total: £9, 725,153.
On TV for Children in Need show she had to wear rubber shoes that stretch, because her feet had swollen because of walking so far.
Even the BBC Philharmonic orchestra were there providing music for celebs such as Tom Fletcher to sing with his 11-years old son: Buzz.
Even Lord Sugar was a part of the show.
If you want to feel very happy (at times a bit tearful when you see kids suffering), watch this show and donate if you can. You’ll be donating to a very important charity that helps a lot of children. Plus, it was a very entertaining show. Trust me, you’ll enjoy watching it. x
